Available to order from Audi dealers now, with deliveries to customers in September, the 2nd generation Q5 follows five years after its 2008 inauguration. On the road pricing begins at â¬40,395 for the 2.0TDI 143bhp version and all come with quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, Bluetooth interface and a spare wheel as standard.
It still carries the high rise coupe look, with restyled front and back lights, xenon units are standard on S Line versions and optional for all others are framed by new-look LED daytime running lights. Adaptive lights with dynamic cornering lights and static turning lights are available as a choice.
The inside controls are trimmed in chrome, with modifications made to the steering column control stalks, the ignition key and the instruments. The narrow panels of the centre console are finished in high-gloss black, and the wheel features the newest Q-specific design.
The central media element, MMI navigation and has fewer buttons, and its volume dial has an extra skip function. Materials, colors and upholstery fabrics have also been updated - with 3 new interior colors, 3 fabric and 3 leather qualities and a sum total of 35 different mixtures offering plenty of choice for individual taste.
Engines
The engine range has been updated offering increased performance, their fuel economy also increased by almost 15%.
- The 2.0TDI 143bhp, (320Nm of torque), with emissions of 139g/km, is the entry point to the range putting it in Tax Band B.
- The S-tronic quattro drive 2.0 TDI produces 177bhp, with 380Nm of torque and promises 47.1mpg on the combined cycle.
- The 3.0 TDI V6 develops 245BHP with 580Nm of torque, an increase of 80Nm over its predecessor
- The new SQ5 TDI-powered 'S ' is driven by their V6, 3.0litre bi-turbo, 313bhp, with 650Nm of torque and is driven through an 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox, with a 7.2l/100km capability for those with the resistance. Customers can order in Nov priced circa â¬72,000 ahead deliveries next spring.
The 4 cylinder engines come with a manual 6-speed transmission as standard. The 7-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission is standard for the 3.0 TDI quattro and optional for the 2.0 TDI quattro.
All 2013 versions also gain:

Audi MMI Navigation + with net services is new to the options list, its integrated Wireless Localized Network (WLAN) hotspot letting passengers surf the Net and e-mail with their mobile devices. It also brings customised online services into the vehicle, such as Google Point of Interest search by voice control, navigation with Google Earth images and Google Street View. Audi traffic info online, a service of Audi connect, offers the driver up to the moment info about traffic on the chosen route. Another new feature is the Smartphone app Audi music stream. Q5 drivers can use it to get more than 5,000 Web radio stations, and can save their favorites to their cell-phones. The chosen program accesses MMI navigation plus through WLAN, and its audio signal is broadcast over the audio system loudspeakers. Web radio is also controlled from the vehicle's user terminal.
