How To Replace Your Nitto Tires In Case Of An Emergency

By Krista W. Froelich

Flat tires are a relatively common annoyance that virtually every driver will have to deal with no matter if they buy Nitto tires or something else. As a driver you will likely spend a lot of time alone on the open road, which is why it is critical that anyone with a driver's license learns how to properly switch out their tire, should a flat occur.

Despite what many people might believe, not everything that has to do with repairing some part of a vehicle is actually complicated, and changing a tire is one of the least complicated repairs of all. Far from the complicated process that many repairs prove to be, this one is simple enough for just about anyone to grasp with a little practice.

The hardest factor in being able to change a tire is having all the stuff that you require available to you when the time comes for you to make the change, since flats are often spontaneous events. Most vehicles come with a spare, a jack, and a wrench when they are sold; if yours did not, you need to take care to purchase these things and make sure they remain with the vehicle when you are traveling.

Typically individuals who have a flat are going to hear a loud sound, then notice that their vehicle is extremely difficult to maneuver. If you think that you've just experienced a blow out on the road you need to pull over immediately, however do try to find a flat spot to park the vehicle if possible.

Get out and use your jack to lift the afflicted tire just slightly, not so even enough for it to come entirely off of the pavement. While the tire is in this spot, loosen but do not remove the lug nuts. After you have them loose, finish jacking the car up to give yourself plenty of room to work; then you can take off the lug nuts and make the switch to the spare.

After that you simply go in reverse: replace lug nuts, let the jack down, and go over each nut again with the wrench to ensure that they are nice and tight. As you can see, switching out damaged Nitto tires isn't that scary of a proposition .
